Information Morning: Gestational Diabetes

Introduction
As a result of your blood glucose (blood sugar) levels, we have referred you to the information afternoon for Gestational Diabetes.

Information afternoon
The information afternoon is a collaboration between the gynaecologist, internist, diabetes nurse and dietician from the Ikazia hospital in Rotterdam.

The information afternoon will take place on Friday morning, from 10:00 - 12:00 PM.

At this information afternoon, you will get:
• Information about gestational diabetes;

• Diet information for gestational diabetes;

• Information about the follow-up process;

• And you will learn how to measure your blood sugar levels.

You must be able to speak and understand the Dutch language well. If not, please make a separate appointment for information via telephone number: 010-2975240.

Unfortunately, you cannot bring children under the age of 16.

Due to the current Corona measures, we ask you to come to the meeting alone.

Consultation hour for Gestational Diabetes
At the next appointment with the gynaecologist, you will come to the diabetes consultation hour for pregnant women; this is every Thursday morning. If you are also having an ultrasound, we will try to schedule it for the same day.

A doctor will see you at the consultation. Depending on your blood sugar levels, you will also see a dietician or a diabetes nurse.

Please note that this appointment may take longer than usual.
